The efficient management of packaging waste from the products which we normally consume in our homes requires the collaboration and coordination of different agents who participate in the Integrated Management System (SIG) for packaging and packaging waste.

The regulatory framework affecting the packaging
Prevention. The companies work to reduce the environmental impact of the packaging waste through the application of a comprehensive focus which includes the entire life cycle of the packaged product: the design of packaging which has a reduced impact on the environment, with a reduction in the amount of waste it generates, while facilitating its subsequent recycling.
Packaging and Marketing. The packaging companies that participate in Ecoembes contribute collectively to the implementation of a packaging waste Management System in order to reach the recovery and recycling objectives set out in the Packaging and Packaging Waste Law. This SIG, which is managed by Ecoembes, offers a comprehensive and efficient solution to the management of household packaging waste derived from products placed on the market by packaging companies, enabling them to fulfil their obligations in accordance with the Packaging Act.
