Frequently asked questions

Even if us citizens separate waste at home to recycle then everything is mixed up?

This is a myth that is as common as it is false. On many occasions, confusion has arisen from the fact that the same lorry collects waste from two different recycling containers at the same time, without realising that these lorries are actually compartmentalised and therefore capable of collecting two different types of waste without mixing them, thus optimising routes and reducing pollutant emissions. Of course, there may be very specific incidents affecting collection caused by flooding, heavy snowfall, roadworks, etc., which hinder the service, but in any case these will always be exceptional and, if identified, we always recommend that they be reported to the responsible local authorities.
